The Technical Aide will assist the technologists and nurses with patient care and transportation in the assigned areas of the Radiology Department. Additional duties may include, but are not limited to, assisting with patient assistance activities in the Imaging Library, inventory management, patient observation in the department, facility maintenance ticketing, and transportation of supplies and specimens to appropriate areas of the hospital. These functions are performed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and Medstar Georgetown University Hospital's philosophy, policies, procedures, and standards.
- High school diploma.
- Some patient care experience preferred.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective interpersonal relationships with patients and staff.
- Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures.
- Ability to learn and understand recordkeeping, inventory supply management and basic computer skills.
- Must be able to function independently.
