Examine, diagnose and treat patients with illness and other complications due to neuromuscular diseases and epilepsy. Consult with and provide direct care to patients suffering from cerebrovascular accidents and events, as well as brain diseases such as dementia, Parkinson's disease, ALS, and epilepsy. Prescribe medication or treatment regimen to patients. Order and interpret diagnostic tests to determine appropriate course of treatment. Job based at MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. May require travel to work at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C., on a regular basis. Position requires day, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts and on-call duties. 40 hours per week on average.

Position requires MD degree or foreign equivalent plus three years of ABIM-recognized neurology residency, valid D.C. medical license, American Board certification (or eligibility) in Neurology, and completion of 1-year fellowship in clinical neuromuscular medicine or epilepsy. No calls, please.
