  • 6-week schedules; self-scheduling.
  • Rotating shifts with opportunity for fixed shift schedule (day or night shift) based on availability; all new hires rotate until completion of probationary period.

Vascular Hepatology Medical/Surgical Intermediate Care Unit - 4 East

4 East is a 16-bed adult Vascular, Hepatology Medical/Surgical Intermediate Care Unit. Clinical Nurses on 4 East provide expert care for acutely ill patients who have a diverse range of medical and surgical diagnoses. We provide care to patients after complex open and minimally invasive vascular surgeries, including carotid endarectomies and AAA repairs. 4 East is also the designated hepatology IMC unit for patients awaiting liver transplant. Medical diagnoses include end-stage renal disease, end-stage liver failure, chest pain, cardiac arrhythmias, sepsis, CHF, COPD, and GI bleeds. All beds are equipped to provide continuous cardiac and pulse oximetry bedside monitoring. 4 East has also been awarded the Gold Level Beacon Award for Nursing Excellence by the American Association of Critical Care Nursing.

Experience:
  • Required: Two years of hospital-based telemetry nursing experience with cardiac rhythm interpretation.
  • Preferred: Experience on Intermediate Care or Step-Down Units. Experience with anti-arrhythmic drips and insulin drips is an asset.

Education and Certification:
  • BSN preferred.
  • PCCN or CMSRN certification highly desirable.
