Coordinates the day-to-day operations of the Residency Program in the Department of Plastic Surgery. Works with the Administrative Chief Resident and Program Director to coordinate the Visiting Professor Programs and Continuing Medical Education (CME). Monitors the status of all current administrative issues related to GME and CME. Coordinates resident recruitment activities, including visiting fourth-year student rotators, ERAS application review and interview days. These functions are performed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and MedStar Georgetown University Hospital's philosophy, policies, procedures, and standards.

Required Education/Training:
  • BA/BS degree required.

Required Experience:
  • Minimum of one to two years of experience.
  • Experience preferred in field related to education, project management or program coordination.
  • Excellent oral communication, writing and organizational skills and abilities.
  • Ability to serve as a resource, resolve administrative problems and exercise sound judgment in decision-making.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to plan, organize and execute a plan.
  • Knowledge of computer software and hardware, including packages for word processing, database, desktop publishing, and communications.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
