General Summary of Position:
This position works directly with the Administrator and Pediatric Clerkship Director to provide administrative support and oversight for all medical student education (1st to 4th year) within the Department of Pediatrics. This position is key to developing and maintaining positive interactions between the medical students and pediatric faculty, as well as acting as a liaison between the Georgetown School of Medicine and the Department of Pediatrics. These functions are performed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and MedStar Georgetown University Hospital’s philosophy, policies, procedures, and standards.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Four years of progressively responsible administrative experience required. 
  • Experience in an academic healthcare setting.
  • Computer literate with spreadsheet design and database management experience. 
  • Effective oral and written communication skills. 
  • Must have ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Ability to deal effectively and professionally with a variety of persons.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills.
