Based out of the MedStar Health Orthopaedic and Sports Center at Lafayette, the Physician Assistant will be assisting team physicians for the Washington Wizards, Washington Mystics, DC United, and Washington Capitals in all capacities of patient care with an emphasis in sports medicine. The position will provide direct clinical, surgical and administrative support to the orthopaedic and sports medicine physicians. These functions are performed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and Georgetown University Hospital's philosophy, policies, procedures, and standards.

Required Education/Training:
  • Completion and graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • PA certification.
  • Maryland licensure.

Required Experience:
  • 3-5 years of orthopaedic surgical experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationship with patients, medical staff and the public.
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
  • Phlebotomy skills required.
