Monday through Friday, days. Flexibility between 8am and 6pm is needed, as is availability for an occasional evening meeting, in-service, etc.

In this role, you will provide intake and coordination for patients, accessing the MedStar Georgetown University Hospital (MGUH) Pancreatic Disease Program (PDP). Duties include facilitating the evaluation of patients by interfacing with referring physicians and MGUH services, including Radiology, Gastroenterology, Interventional Radiology, Surgery, Medical Oncology, Radiation Medicine, and other MGUH services, as needed. Specific responsibilities include coordinating the complex management of patients at various stages of their diagnosis and treatment; collaborating with all disciplines involved in the patient’s care to ensure timely progress toward the best clinical outcome in the most effective manner; and navigating patient/caregiver through the continuum of care; providing education and resources about medical condition, diagnostic procedures, treatments, clinical trials, support services, hospital processes, and other relevant information. You will also serve as an ongoing resource for patient/caregiver education and support and facilitate research initiatives.

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • BSN required.
  • Three years of professional nursing experience; at least one year of surgery, oncology or outpatient experience highly desirable.
