MedStar Georgetown is seeking experienced nurses for our Float Pool!

In order to qualify for this position, you must have at least two years of hospital-based nursing experience. Please note: Weekend shifts are required.
EXPERIENCED NURSES ONLY!!!
Responsible for providing competent professional nursing care using the nursing process. Provides direct patient care, utilizing the nursing process or assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care. Also participates in communication and decision-making activities of the unit, which include provision of care.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current D.C. license as a Registered Professional Nurse.
Certification in Basic Life Support.
New employees must have minimum of two years of acute care experience in the area desired to work and a skill base broad enough to enable floating within a clinical area.
Must have certification and skills in appropriate areas of practice (e.g., PALS for PICU).
Permanent staff wishing to transfer to PRN must have one year of full-time acute care experience in the area desired
