Lombardi Infusion Clinic

Manages the day-to-day operations of Infusion Services in the Lombardi Cancer Center. Ensures that all services are performed to established hospital and ONS/APHON standards. Oversight of all clinical personnel in these areas through direct supervisory reports (Clinical Research Infusion, Oncology Infusion Services, BMT Infusion Staff, collaborative support with Pediatric Hematology Oncology Clinic). These functions are performed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and MedStar Georgetown University Hospital's philosophy, policies, procedures, and standards.

Required Education/Training:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • BSN degree required.
  • Master's degree required.
  • OCN certification preferred or immediate plans to obtain OCN certification.
  • Current license as a Registered Nurse in the District of Columbia.
  • Chemotherapy certification or eligibility required.

Required Experience:
  • A minimum of five years of clinical experience in oncology, with ambulatory experience and supervisory/managerial experience preferred.

Special Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
  • Excellent phlebotomy skills and a good understanding of chemotherapy and infusion therapies and protocols.
