Responsible for the preparation of the patient; the conduct of various standard, complex and special procedures and electroneurodiagnostic studies; and the collection of information pertinent to the interpretation of tests. These functions are performed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and MedStar Georgetown University Hospital's philosophy, policies, procedures, and standards.
- Associate's degree, preferably in a science-related field.
- Board registration in EEG (R.EEG T.) and/or certification in Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM) required, in addition to above credentials.
- Current CPR certification is also required.
- Minimum 1.5 years of working in neurodiagnostic field.
- Current knowledge of basic EEG, evoked potentials, nerve conduction, and EEG and evoked-potential monitoring in inter-operative situations.
- Must be able to follow detailed instructions on all procedures.
- Able to establish good rapport with patients, public and the staff.
- Able to work with severely ill patients.
- Has sound independent judgment and initiative.
