The Medical Physicist Assistant is a trained technical person performing proton patient-specific QA, QA-CT replaning. The assistant will also assist with image imports and exports, as well as image fusion for multimodality imaging and treatments. Other physics tasks may also be assigned by the Chief Physicist when considered appropriate. The QA assistant will be supervised by clinical physicists in performing the tasks. The minimum educational requirements is a Bachelor's degree in Physics, Engineering or other science-related field.
- A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Physics, Engineering, applied science or related field minimum preferred.
- Or technical degree in Physics or related field.
- One year of skills in operating machinery and electronic and electrical equipment required.
- General knowledge of electrical and electronic equipment.
- Skills in operating mechanical and electronic equipment.
- Knowledge in computer and computer software, Microsoft word, Excel and PowerPoint.
