Responsible for all supply chain management and logistics activity in the procedure departments (e.g., OR, Cath Lab, IR, etc.), leading to a performance-effective and resource-effective materials management system. Ensures the highest possible supply service levels while maintaining strong expense control to include managing the supply inventory, physician product preferences and revenue generation (patient charge). Responsible for the creation and the generation of analytical tools that are required to support the operation. These functions are performed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and MedStar Georgetown University Hospital's philosophy, policies, procedures, and standards.

Required Education/Training:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Management.
  • Masters degree preferred.
  • No special certification, registration or license required.

Required Experience:
  • 3 years of progressive experience in healthcare in a surgical setting: office management, budgeting, professional and facility billing, inventory management, vendor negotiations, and variance reporting experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Access software applications.
