The individual in this position provides administrative and secretarial support for the Interim Chair of Plastic Surgery/Division Chief and four providers in the Center for Wound Healing/HBOT. Answers phones, registers patients, schedules appointments, posts surgical procedures, coordinates insurance, and addresses the needs of the provider's patients and their families. Manages provider calendars, coordinates resident correspondences and meetings, and assists with the provider's academic activities within the Center for Wound Healing/HBOT. These functions are performed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and MedStar Georgetown University Hospital's philosophy, policies, procedures, and standards.

Required Education/Training:
  • AA degree required.
  • BS/BA preferred.

Required Experience:
  • Three years of progressively responsible office experience.
  • Excellent oral communication, writing and organizational skills and abilities.
  • Extensive knowledge of computer software and hardware, including packages for word processing, database, desktop publishing, statistical programs, and communications.
