Provides supervisory support for the Facilities Management Department by directing the daily activities of all departmental skills, including, but not limited to, the General Maintenance, Trades and Call Center staff. Manages in-house projects as assigned by the Vice President of Operations. Works collaboratively with contract management company to ensure management of the Facility Program. Provides support by performing various inspection functions, such as construction rounds, for capital projects and environmental safety rounds for compliance with the Safety Department. Performs annual job performance evaluations and responsible for any performance or disciplinary issues that may arise. Interfaces with Vice President of Operations on a regular basis to provide updates and to establish priorities. These functions are coordinated with hospital administration, department heads, medical staff and others and are performed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and MedStar Georgetown University Hospital's philosophy, policies, procedures, and standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field required.
- Five to seven years in a healthcare provider sector or a related service industry with progressively increasing levels of responsibility.
- Must have extensive background in re-engineering concepts and implementation efforts.
