General Summary of Position:
The person in this position provides clinical physics and dosimetry services related to radiation oncology patient treatment. The physicist, as a member of the clinical team, provides support to the Department Chair and the Radiation Physics Division Chief in support of the departmental clinical and academic missions. These functions are performed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and MedStar Georgetown University Hospital’s philosophy, policies, procedures, and standards.

Qualifications:
  • Postgraduate degree in Physics.
  • One to three years of experience in a large healthcare setting.
  • The Clinical Physicist shall be board-certified by the American Board of Radiology or the American Board of Medical Physics. A non-certified, but board-eligible physicist will become certified within a specified time at the time of hire.
