The incumbent in this position has administrative authority and responsibility for the management and direction of the operational, personnel and budget activities of Clinical Services within the MedStar Georgetown University Hospital Department of Surgery. These functions are coordinated with the Administrator and Chairman and performed in accordance with MedStar Georgetown’s philosophy, policies, procedures, and standards.
- BA/BS in healthcare-related field; Master's degree in Health Care, Business Administration or Nursing Administration preferred.
- At least three to five years of progressively responsible practice administration experience, preferably in an ambulatory care setting
- Knowledge of all practice areas, including staffing , insurance, patient service, financial management, regulatory, and daily operations .
- Ability to communicate effectively, to identify issues and to work toward solutions that will ensure efficient practice operation.
