The incumbent in this position functions as Practice Operations Administrator for the MGUH Obstetrics and Gynecology practice. This position serves as a senior member of the management team in the Ob/Gyn Department. Assumes administrative responsibility and accountability for the management of the clinical practice, oversight of clinical expenses and associated accounts, all HR-related functions, and facilities management. This position will analyze patient volume, revenue and RVUs to maximize practice productivity. This position will assume accountability for budgeting clinical expenses and will assist in the development of reporting systems for the department. These functions are performed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and MedStar Georgetown University Hospital's philosophy, policies, procedures, and standards.

Required Education/Training:
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Health Care Management or a related field.
  • Master's degree in Health Care Management preferred.

Required Experience:
  • At least five years of progressively responsible practice administration experience, preferably in an ambulatory OB/GYN setting.
  • Strong practice management skills in finance, leadership, verbal and written communication, quantitative, interpersonal, and personnel oversight.
  • Strong skills in financial analysis, spreadsheets, benchmarking, statistical programs, databases, and word processing.
  • Experience with development of clinical protocols/pathways and managing physician-directed services.
