The incumbent in this position functions as the Clinical Administrator for the MGUH Department of Pediatrics. This position serves as a senior member of the management team in the Department of Pediatrics. Assumes administrative responsibility and accountability for the management of the clinical practice and facilities. This position will be responsible for the overall patient experience and daily operations in the department's ambulatory setting. This position will provide structured analysis, strategic thinking and project/relationship management as they relate to the development and implementation of new and current growth opportunities and service line development. These functions are performed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and MedStar Georgetown University Hospital's philosophy, policies, procedures, and standards.

Required Education/Training:
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Healthcare Management or a related field.
  • Master's degree in Healthcare Management preferred.

Required Experience:
  • Five years of progressively responsible practice administration experience, preferably in an ambulatory/ hospital setting.
  • Strong practice management skills in finance, leadership, verbal and written communication, quantitative, interpersonal relationships, and personnel oversight.
  • Strong skills in analysis and experience with development of clinical protocols/pathways and managing physician-directed service.
