Directs and administers the Medicine-Pediatrics Residency Training Program, and assists with the administrative and operational aspects of the Department of Medicine Residency training program. Serves as a liaison between the Program Director of Medical Education, affiliate hospitals, medical education organizations, applicants, residents, and other departments and divisions. Manages the programs and staff associated with the Medicine-Pediatrics program and the Clerkship Program. These functions are performed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and MedStar Georgetown University Hospital’s philosophy, policies, procedures, and standards.
- BA/BS required. MA/MS in healthcare, education or relevant field preferred.
- Three years of progressively responsible experience in an academic and/or healthcare setting or equivalent setting, including supervision of staff.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
- Familiarity with computer database systems and basic accounting for expenses.
- Ability to interact with diverse physicians and managers.
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
