The incumbent in this position is responsible for the administrative office for the Department of Pathology. Performs a variety of administrative responsibilities for the Pathology Administrator and assists with the operational, personnel and financial activities for the Department of Pathology. These functions are performed in accordance with all applicable laws and MedStar Georgetown University Hospital's philosophy, policies, procedures, and standards.

Required Education/Training:
  • AA degree.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

Required Experience:
  • Three years of comparable administrative experience required.
  • Finance/personnel management experience.
  • Strong computer and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Word/WordPerfect.
  • Knowledge of DOS and file maintenance.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Must possess good mathematical skills.
  • Must have ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Ability to deal effectively and professionally with a variety of persons.
