The incumbent in this position is a supervisor who participates in and facilitates the management of the operational, personnel and financial activities of the department. These functions are performed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and Georgetown University Hospital's philosophy, policies, procedures, and standards.

Required Education/Training:
  • AA degree preferred or completion of a secretarial/office management program and experience noted below.

Required Experience:
  • At least three years work experience required, preferably in a medical/clinical office.
  • Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting is desirable.
  • Good knowledge of modern clerical and office methods and practices.
  • Good knowledge of the principles and practices of modern administration.
  • Ability to plan, organize, set priorities, and implement departmental clerical functions.
  • Able to maintain effective working relationships within own and other departments.
  • Must be able to type 60 WPM.
