Coordinates all revenue cycle and other activities related to the Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Department. Performs a variety of administrative responsibilities for the customer service sections of the department and assists with the operational, personnel and financial activities for the Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine. These functions are performed in accordance all applicable laws and regulations and MedStar Georgetown University Hospital's philosophy, policies procedures and standards.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in academic and/or healthcare setting or equivalent setting.
- Excellent oral communication, writing and organizational skills and abilities.
- Extensive knowledge of computer software and hardware, including packages for work processing, database, desktop publishing, statistical programs, and communications.
- Must have knowledge of office automation, medical terminology, human resource management, and financial analysis skills.
